Jeremy and I left LAX around 5 pm on June 5th. We landed in London at 11 am the following day and took advantage of our extended layover to explore the city. We took the Elizabeth line from Heathrow and got off on a bridge above the Thames.
It was funny, I’d been there before but London felt different this time.
We tooled around for a while walking from the Modern Tate to St. Pauls Cathedral. We took the tube again over to the Westminster Abbey and Parliament then strolled over to Buckingham Palace.
We ended the day with a classic bite of fish and chips from a local pub. 10/10 British experience, I felt.

Then we trekked back to the airport and boarded another long flight to Oman.
The Omani airport was SO clean, they had nice smelling humidifiers and the women I encountered as customs were soft spoken. I waited for Jeremy and we took a taxi to our hostel where we took a much needed nap.
I woke us up around 7 pm to go find dinner. We went to this Lebanese place at the behest of our taxi driver. Literally some of the best food I’ve ver had, I got the baba ghanoush and watermelon juice. Then we went back to the hostel and cut it up with some strangers turned friends.
